Eye Cyst

Since the visit to the doctor about the cyst under my left eye two weeks ago, the cyst has yet to ebb. Indeed, it is comparably smaller than before but this is really taking too long. It does not help when I found out yesterday that I have been applying the antiseptic for my eye wrongly for two weeks! No wonder it takes so long to recover!

Here's what the instruction of Chlortralim says:

Administration: Instill into the conjunctival sac 3 to 4 times daily.

Chlortralim is a gel- like ophthalmic ointment for the eye. Because it is gel- like, I didn't dare to instill it into my eye. How am I supposed to put that into my eye when half the time the gel refuses to displace itself from the neck of the tube? ( to give you a better idea, the tube of the ointment is similar to that of the superglue)

Therefore, I applied the ointment on the lump for 2 weeks.

I was supposed to see the doctor today again for a follow-up visit. He told me that he will refer me to the eye centre if the antibiotics and the other stuff do not work. But I do not want to go for some eye operation! I'll give myself one more week. Maybe I'll try to apply the ointment properly then. The internet says that I should apply warm compress on the eye to remove the cyst too. It suggested baking a potato in a microwave oven and wrapping it so that the potato will be able to retain heat for a long period of time. Unfortunately, I do not have a microwave at home. Do you think an oven will be able to do the job?

Anybody up for a potato party? Haha... I will not see the doc until I've exhausted all options!

OUT!
