The First 3 Weeks of School

Exactly 1 more week till my turn to sing. I witnessed quite a handful of pro singers today. Haiz. I hope that I won't be too nervous next week. Hahaha....

My first lab session last friday was a disaster. I failed to get the ppt that I'm supposed to get. In the end, I spent 2 hours walking around the lab, 'monitoring' my friends. Thankfully my friends 'donated' some of their ppt to me. Haiz. Nevertheless, I spent the rest of the day berating myself. Haiz.

I've joined the drama club and there's an interview tomorrow for main comm position. I've decided to actively partcipate in a cca this year. I'm thinking of learning the violin from the school's string orchestra. The only problem is that it is being held on Saturdays. Oh well, I guess it requires a certain level of committment. I'm also thinking of joining film society. But my only problem is that I see no point staying back in school to watch movies. Haiz.

I'm taking 17AUs for this sem only. Nevertheless, it's gonna be a tough semester as I will be learning a new language, that is, Korean and I'm taking biz, which I'm not too enthusiastic about going for lectures on friday evenings. On top of the much harder chem courses. As usual, I'm procrastinating when it comes to revising my work. Haiz. But school's been fun lately apart from lab. Before today, I was actually looking forward for the singing lesson. I remembered how much I loved music lessons when I was in primary and secondary school. And of course band practice. And hence, me contemplating to take up the violin. I've come to reason with myself that taking up new things can be very hard and even discouraging sometimes, but once you get the hang of it, you'll come to love it. And as time goes by, you can look back and marvel over the wonderful decision of picking up a new skill (like what I did with the flute). I can just remember how I told myself that I had made a big mistake joining the band after the first lesson in sec 1. Hahaha.

OUT!
