I'm back..

Went to tm to buy xiao wen's birthday present. They suggested a stuffed pig but I had a hard time finding one. As a result, I went to many shops and combed the whole of tm and century square to look for a 'cute' pig. Haiz... How can one even differentiate between a cute pig and an ugly one.. The ones that I saw were just average only (maybe to me). So I settled with chocs.. Okay rite?

Saw Germaine at Yoshinoya. Whoa, she has really slimmed down a lot and looks a tad like Rui En. Really pretty. With the sharp features and all, no more baby fats.

As I was walking home, guess who I saw??? I saw TABBY!!! with her male Indian friend. haha.. Since when did she take a liking to Indian guys.. Joking.... Joking la... haha..

Today is the unofficial last day of the term. Oh ya.. and remember to vote for JOAKIM!!! haha..

Let's slam the SI judges

This is taken from one of the comments found in Joakim's blog:

dearest joakim
week after week i wonder why you don't spit in the judges faces: "who was it who put me in the top 28". ha ah for obvious reasons do'h but the judges are literally eating their own crap. anyway they put you there and from then on it was public voting allll the way. and now you've made it into the top 5, they're getting scared and i really really want to hit gurmit's face whenever he says to remember to vote for talent. GAWD. you deserve your spot, don't let people ridicule you into quiting this show. this season never started off with much talent anyway and who are they to deny you your shot, your break. start singing from your diaphram boy to have made it this far on your performances alone is amazing. as a stranger i feel your hurt , can't imagine how your mom must feel. please help me tell her that there is at least one singaporean who RESPECTS her son and if you can't win singapore's respect by your singing, win their respect with your attitude. be sanguine. be blase. sticksstonesmaybreakmybonesbut words'll never hurt me. advice advice advice. you are falling into the media's trap by responding to all the jeers and potato peels. keep your head down as people pelt insults "turn the cheek boy turn that cheek". the best thing to learn in this world is that OPINIONS NEVER MATTER and the only thing that matters is god's opinion of you.

said like a true supporter..

It's not his fauult that he's cute, able to perform well and so on.. It's the judges (except ja's) fault for being so prejudiced and absurdly rude towards Joakim on national tv. The producers should just drop all of the judges (maybe exept for ja again) for the next season (if there will be one). They like Jon so much that they praise him even when he did not really perform that well.. If they are not embarrased for themselves for the way they present themselves on tv, then I am. I am filled with disgust and contempt with the judges whenever they give their two cents worth of insults and what not. When Flo said that Joakim's fans should 'offer him a dignified exit' , dick made the guesture of putting his finger to his lips and Ken said that 'the moment of silence sounds better than what comes out from your mouth', I literally wanted to spit into their faces. Granted, Joakim goes flat often when he sings. But, he has a nice tone. He is one of the best performers on tv, maybe the best even. Why did you think the judges even put him in the top 28? So if anything, it's the fault of the judges. So just stop slamming Joakim for what he is because nobody is perfect. To the judges, there is a fine line between trying to give CONSTRUCTIVE criticisms and insulting the contestants shamelessly. So stop trying to act like Simon Cowell ,Ken, when the whole world knows that there can only be 1 and only 1 Simon. What you said this wednesday to Joakim did not help things (and his singing) one bit. In fact, all three judges (u know which 3) passed a death sentence on Joakim's singing. Let's admit that without Joakim, the show wouldn't be as popular as it is now because the show was a disappointment to start with. And about needing a representative to represent Singapore on World Idol, that is crap. Taufik didn't even sing on World Idol, did he? There wasn't a World Idol season 2. And if there should be any, no matter who the winner is for this season, I think Singapore will still send Taufik as he is the first Singapore Idol. So the other seasons do not matter at all.

So just vote for Joakim ok?

I haven't been swimming for quite some time... and exercising. Aargh... Must hit the pool soon... I'm hooked on Grey's Anatomy now.. And Oreos.. especially the chocolate ones. Although Joakim's singing ability is not really on par with the rest, I still like him nevertheless. Can't wait for Singapore Idol later.. I'm hungry again...
