I'm watching fated to love you it's a taiwanese drama and it's quite good. The male leads are gorgeous. Sadly, the story line is almost the same as goong, princess hours. Just that the roles are slightly different.

In goong, yoon eun hye (YEH) had to marry into the royal family to help her family settle some debts. But in this show, a lonely, unnoticeable girl marries into a rich family because she got pregnant by the rich and charming Ji Cun Xi. The storyline goes like this.... at first they loathed each other but grew to like each other as the show progresses (same as goong). Then, there is this charming third party male lead (KJH in goong, Baron Chen in this show) who will fall in love to the married female lead who feels hurt by their respective partner's ongoing torch for their girlfriends that they met before....they were forced to get married... Then the husband will be very mean to the wife while the third party will be sweet and patient, forever lending a listening ear to the female lead's grouses..... Then when the husband realises that he had actually fallen in love with the wife, there will be some love rivalry.... and the all too predictable love story ending will be that they lived happily ever after.

A great difference between korean and taiwanese dramas is the acting skills. Korean dramas tend to be quite unpredictable, just when you think sth is gonna happen, the director will prolly add a twist in the story. K-dramas are romantic also (almost fairy tale like). On the other hand, it is easier to watch taiwanese dramas becoz they are in chinese with english subtitles so its easier to follow. But the acting seems exaggerated at some points- almost childish. Maybe not convincing enough. Therefore, it has a little boring element in it. Although the storyline is predictable, but what separates them from a typical singapore drama is that the scriptwriter is very very creative. Keeps audience guessing what will happen next, while stirring up strong feelings and uncontrollable tears. I admit that Singapore dramas can stir these things up also lah, but those are controlled- feelings and tears.

On a random note, I feel obligated to help out for the very last time but I don't want to. I just can't help feeling guilty. I'm torn between duty to the committee and my own pride.

Today is the last day of the 1 week break and it feels like the holidays have just started! Aargh, I haven't really done anything serious yet. Monday's sleepover at Clara's hall was fantabulous.. It was fun; we did silly things and took lots of silly pictures. The Naan's gravy was delicious. 3 hours after dinner, we went out for supper and by then, for one of the rarest moments in my life, I felt sick and scared at the sight of food. It spilled over to tuesday. Hahaha...

On Friday, I went to help out at nafa and it was a night to forget.

On Saturday, after a disappointing sight reading violin session, I met up with the rest to attend Bernie's party. The girls went in kim hwee's car and the guys in chao liang's. Great party with lots of food, a great time to catch up with the rest. Watched the qualifying session on tv and fell asleep after that.

The holidays are here!

But I have tons of work to do and my violin to practice! I can play mary had a little lamb on the violin already! Although it's far from perfect lah!

I should take a hiatus from watching k-movies and dramas. Like finally. Ha. Just realised that K-movies are horrible; lousy storyline and everything. As for k-dramas, I won't have the time to watch it this week as I will be going to school for almost the whole week!

I'm having a sleepover at Clara's hall with Tabby later tonight but we are bringing her around NTU... mainly the libraries and of course, the special function toilet. Hahaha...

The following information is for Val....

Singpost:
1) 2kg air parcel post to Milan, Italy (w/o packaging)
est: $60.65 (Delivery 7 to 12 working days)

2) Speed post saver box (5kg) 33x23x23

We are singing Seasons of love by Rent for our GV17 presentation! We stayed back after our singing lesson and we went to this recording studio in the adm building. It was really cool. Just like the real recording studios you see in shows. It was quite fun rehearsing the song with my group.

We went to Pu Tien on my mother's birthday for dinner. It is this awesome place at Tampines Mall Basement, the restaurant is very well furnished. The ambience was something like a hotel restaurant with a grand reception. The food is okay lah, not bad, nothing bad to say about it.

Lately, I've been regretting some of the decisions that I've recently made. Aargh.... I'm torn. Should I continue being committed? I knew this is a sai-kang kind of thing, but... I felt used. I'm not really enjoying myself.

Blogging in school now... Just trying to kill some time before the AGM for drama starts. Feeling pretty tired (and down) after 2 tests today. This week will be a very busy week for me. Meetings plus tutorials plus submission for lab report and 6 hour lab. Having lab every week is no fun:( I had my first violin session last saturday. It wasn't very fun I should say.. 1 hour is hardly enough and because of some mix up, I'll only be getting my violin this saturday. Haiz. I guess I should stop whining here.

I'm finally 20. No longer a teen. Hahaha... I'm feeling stuffed right now... Thank you all for the birthday wishes and to the fellow lizards for the chocolate cake and the beautifully designed box. I ate 2 slices of chocolate cake in the canteen with kh, zq and hj. I suspect that the cake is baked by kh although they vehemently deny it. Haha.... Went to Geylang with Tabby and we walked around the shops. Had Arnold's for dinner and I ate half a spring chicken! The food is great... especially the mash potato. Hahaha. Afterwhich, I went home and had yet another slice of chocolate cake that my mother bought. Blowing the candles made me feel like I'm 6 again. Haha. Feeling really bloated and blessed.
