2007

has been a bittersweet year. The year started off bitterly, with me feeling miserable for almost the first half of the year. I desperately wanted the year to come to an end. It's a year which I experienced new highs and lows. It's a testing year. From finding my first job to making the switch to my second job; both were horrible in their own ways. My grandmother falling in April and undergoing two operations on her leg (she is recuperating well now), my grandfather also falling sometimes when he goes out. Starting school, adapting to new environment, new friendships forged. Finding out that my uncle had a tumour in his stomach (it was a great shock to my family), but thankfully, he's better now. There was this really huge quarrel between my parents to the extent that I was afraid that there could be no return. But it was because of this huge disagreement with each other that I found out more about my family and that we treasure each other even more now. It is by God's grace that everything worked out in the end and that I am surrounded by my family and friends. Not forgetting my younger brother being the top student in his school and the whole of Singapore for his 'N' levels which made my parents extremely proud and happy. And now.. I don't desperately want the year to come to an end as I want to savour every last moment of 2007.

Last monday: met up with Bernie to play badminton. I was thrashed badly. My reflexes were not as sharp as before and I lack stamina. This is the result for not exercising consistently throughout the year. As I didn't do any stretching before the game, I went home with bodyache.

Last wednesday: met up with xian, valr, carlene, diana and eileen for dinner at Vil'lage. It's almost the same as marche only the name is different. And for the second time, I ordered rosti only to regret it afterward. And I had nothing but potatoes for dinner! I bought rosti, potato wedges and whipped potatoes. I liked the whipped potatoes best.

For the rest of the days until now, I've been watching delightful girl choon-hyang(another korean drama). This is the only show that made me cry so much. I couldn't stop myself from crying and I probably wasted almost 1 box of Kleenex. (OK lah, the brand is not Kleenex, watsons rather). On top of that, my eyes were quite swollen due to the constant wiping of tears. It's a good show, there are some funny parts also.

and finally... CONGRATS to HADY MIRZA for winning the first ASIAN IDOL. I was pleasantly surprised and shocked as I didn't expect him to win(and so do many others..). Now, I'm really proud.

I shall mark this 200th post with some of my masterpieces (colouring done my me) when I was a tender age of 5. My aunty told me that she found these 2 art pieces while clearing her cupboard. At the first glance, I don't remember drawing and colouring both of them. I was overwhelmed and didn't believe that I drew them. How could I? When I cannot even reproduce these drawings again today.

Then my aunty and mother suggested that it was my maid who drew them and we coloured them. I said we because if you were to look carefully at the colouring of the horse, I probably did the horse's body only. There's a stark contrast. When it finally dawned onto me, I felt a little bit disappointed that I didn't draw them (hahaha!) I was really into colouring when I was young. I remember competing with my younger brother many times. One of the reasons I liked colouring was because my father used to give us small gifts once we completed colouring a picture.

After a while, (and also after receiving many gifts), it was fun to guess what kind of presents he would come up with. Anyway, it's nice to see that my kiddy drawings are kept and appreciated.

The thing about Korean dramas...

They are fantastic! I'm currently watching witch yoo hee (channel U 10pm) aka witch amusement. I finished watching everything online already! I love you hee's character. And of course, there are many beautiful parts of the whole show. Like how she finally realised that she loves him and so on... The songs have been playing in my head like all the time for the past few days. Han Ga In is my new fav.
